The last few weeks have seen a sudden uptick in (or, more documentation of) attacks against doctors. Incidents reported across Karnataka and Assam were just the latest in a long list of attacks that have been found on the pages of local dailies.

How do doctors prepare themselves to deal with possible instances of violence? Are there some doctors that are more likely to face such attacks than others?
