Designing a Social Impact Campaign during COVID-19: The Auto for Impact Story

Auto For Impact is a 1700 km journey, from Bangalore to Bombay, in an auto-rickshaw. It’s a campaign that aims to increase awareness of and raise funds for girl-child education, in partnership with Nanhi Kali an NGO that works to improve access and quality of education for girl children.

Undertaken just as the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic began to spread across the country, Preetha Datta and Vidur Singh talk in-depth about how they set about building this campaign, the challenges faced along the way and some learnings while creating a successful social impact campaign during the pandemic, in conversation with Chirag Chinnappa.
