Presently, out of the whole set of entrepreneurs in India, only 13% comprise of women. Considering that women constitute close to 48% of our population, the share of entrepreneurs is quite telling and drastic. So, how do we go about making the field of entrepreneurship more representative? What role can Government-led initiatives such as the Atal Innovation Mission play? Sourya Reddy speaks to Ramanathan Ramanan, the Mission Director of the Atal Innovation Mission, Niti Aayog, to understand the context of this issue and the different methods to facilitate women-led entrepreneurship from an early age.
