Here, we break down the process of how papers are set and sent to the examination centres. An in-depth look at each stage of the process shows us the faults which can (and do) arise from having multiple agents take part in setting, re-evaluating and delivering the question papers.
As we see it, the potential solutions that can address these issues are heavily reliant on a technological revamp. The question is, will the government take up such initiatives in the face of heavy criticism? Or will re-modelling a system which is fifty years old be too ambitious a task for any government to undertake?
