The Personal Data Protection Bill (PDP), 2019, was tabled in the Parliament in the winter session of 2019. However, in March 2020, the Bill was sent to a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC), and has since been in review, in consultation with experts since.

How important is this Bill for India? What are some essential things the Bill should address? How long will we have to wait to see it pass?
