In this second instalment of Out Of Breath: The Ghazipur Landfill. We take a look at how the local communities deal with the landfill being a daily part of their lives. Through interviews, we uncover a host of deeply unsettling issues ranging from their dwindling health and ineffective governance. The garbage dump is now seen as a permanent landmark within the locality as there seems to be no hope to relocate or remove it.
On a personal note, these stories will make us question our habits regarding the waste we produce and how it affects someone’s life while we remain completely oblivious.
