The 2021 Budget laid out a 2X increase towards dig The 2021 Budget laid out a 2X increase towards digital e-learning. With projections of an exponential rise in ed-tech services by 2022, the sector needs the attention of policymakers as well. The government must take considered measures to protect the interests of children and young adults. The question is: how does one regulate the complex private ed-tech sector? When enacted 15 years ago, the Scheduled Tribes an When enacted 15 years ago, the Scheduled Tribes and Other Traditional Forest Dwellers (Recognition of Forest Rights) Act, 2006 (FRA) was envisioned as a law that would address the historical injustices faced by all forest dwellers. However, in comparison to Scheduled Tribes, the benefits of Other Traditional Forest Dwellers have been stifled, due to an overemphasis on documentary proof to ensure the recognition of forest rights. In Odisha, the experience of the Odia Kandha tribe losing their identities as Adivasis is one such example.
